Senior Network Consulting Engineer (Data Centre)

About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Senior Network Consulting Engineer (Data Centre) to join a leading global technology consulting team delivering enterprise and mission-critical data centre infrastructure projects.

This role is ideal for engineers who are passionate about designing, implementing and supporting modern data centre networks using Cisco technologies. You will work closely with enterprise customers, providing technical leadership throughout the project lifecycle, from solution design through deployment and optimization.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement and migrate enterprise Data Centre network solutions.
• Deliver professional services including planning, installation, configuration, testing and knowledge transfer.
• Develop High-Level Design (HLD), Low-Level Design (LLD), Method of Procedure (MOP), implementation plans and technical documentation.
• Deploy and support Cisco Data Centre technologies including Nexus switching, ACI, VXLAN EVPN and Software-Defined Networking.
• Perform network assessments, troubleshooting, optimization and root cause analysis for complex enterprise environments.
• Collaborate with project managers, solution architects and customer stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
• Participate in customer workshops and provide technical consultation throughout project engagements.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical best practices.

Required Skills & Experience

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in enterprise networking or data centre infrastructure.
• Strong experience with Cisco routing and switching technologies.
• Hands-on experience with one or more of the following: Cisco Nexus 9000 SeriesCisco ACIVXLAN EVPNSpine-Leaf Data Centre ArchitectureBGP, OSPF, IS-ISMPLS
• Experience preparing HLD, LLD, implementation plans and technical documentation.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills in large-scale enterprise environments.
• Experience delivering customer-facing implementation or consulting projects.

Preferred Qualifications

• Cisco CCNP Enterprise, CCNP Data Center or CCIE certification.
• Experience with automation tools such as Python, Ansible or Terraform.
• Knowledge of VMware, virtualization platforms and hybrid cloud networking.
• Exposure to storage networking, SAN fabrics or software-defined infrastructure will be advantageous.
