Network Architect

Position Overview

This role is for an experienced Enterprise Network Architect responsible for designing and implementing advanced network solutions across a hybrid enterprise infrastructure. The position requires deep expertise in software-defined networking, hybrid connectivity, network segmentation, and secure, resilient architecture design. The architect will ensure scalable, high-performing, and secure network operations that align with the organization's long-term business and technology goals.

Key Responsibilities

. Design and deploy software-defined networking (SDN) solutions to improve automation, agility, and centralized management.
. Develop seamless integration between on-premises and cloud environments through technologies such as VPN, MPLS, Direct Connect, and ExpressRoute.
. Architect segmented network topologies using VLANs, VRFs, and firewalls to enhance traffic control and security posture.
. Define and implement security zones to protect sensitive workloads and enforce access policies.
. Ensure network resilience and high availability across data center and cloud environments through redundancy and fault-tolerant designs.
. Collaborate with infrastructure, application, and security teams to ensure network architecture supports enterprise goals.
. Conduct periodic reviews of network performance and security, recommending improvements where necessary.
. Provide mentorship and technical guidance to engineers while promoting best practices and knowledge sharing.

Qualifications

. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master's preferred).
. Minimum 8 years of enterprise networking experience, including at least 3 years in an architectural capacity.
. Proficiency in SDN technologies such as OpenFlow, Cisco ACI, and VMware NSX.
. Strong understanding of hybrid connectivity using VPN, MPLS, and cloud interconnect services.
. Experience in network segmentation, security zoning, and traffic isolation.
. Familiarity with modern data center and cloud networking technologies.
. Eligibility for relevant national security clearance is preferred.
