The Net Zero Analyst of the Net Zero Centre of Excellence in Univers will be responsible for supporting all aspects of Singapore CoE's operations, strategy, and initiatives.

This role requires a dynamic and visionary player with a good understanding of carbon management, carbon abatement strategies, and sustainable business roadmaps which organizations must cater to meet their decarbonization targets and goals.

This role will report to Global Head of NZ CoE, and lead a growing team of researchers and experts based in Singapore. The candidate will play an active role in recruitment of experts as per the roadmap of the CoE to meet the charter and deliverables committed.

Furthermore, the successful candidate shall take the responsibility of developing business related to carbon management practice including engaging customer, solutioning and product design to capture customer demand, generate leads and convert leads into sales.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Research and Innovation:

  • Support the direction of Univers carbon management related software products towards market leading position by enhancing the features based on new regional and international regulations
  • Support roadmap and strategy for the Center of Excellence to ensure Univers technology advantage.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including R&D, engineering, and product, to design innovative solutions for decarbonization applications, including Digital Carbon passports, Green Hydrogen/Ammonia, LCA, VPPA, Energy Attribute Certificates, Carbon credits, etc.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and market needs related to digital battery solutions.
  • Support the development of prototypes and proof-of-concepts to validate ideas and ensure alignment with the product/solution roadmap.

Business Development and Customer Engagement

  • Contribute meaningful conversations with the clients based on your knowledge of Net Zero strategies and roadmaps of execution.
  • Support as trusted advisors to clients, providing expert guidance on carbon reduction strategies, emissions reporting, and sustainability initiatives.
  • Supported product strategies to capture customer demand in the market by working hand in hand with Sales and GTM colleagues
  • Support with identifying new business opportunities and partnerships within the Net Zero space.

Team Management and Partnership

  • Contribute to a multidisciplinary team of experts in carbon accounting, carbon offsetting, renewable energy, and related fields.
  • Support opportunities for Univers to be represented at conferences, workshops, and other forums to promote thought leadership in carbon management and sustainability.
  • Desired Skills and Experience:

    • Bachelor's degree in Chemical/Environmental or a related field. Masters and above will be a plus.
    • At least 2+ years of work experience in carbon accounting and decarbonization field with working technical knowledge; knowledge in ESG and general sustainability matters, including IFRS S1/S2 alignment, is a plus.
    • Consulting background is strongly preferred.
    • Strong understanding of carbon accounting principles, greenhouse gas emissions quantification methodologies, and carbon offsetting mechanisms. Additional understanding of product-level lifecycle impact (PCF/LCA) will be preferred.
    • Proven experience in supporting strategic planning, team management, and stakeholder engagement.
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts to diverse audiences.
    • Strong Powerpoint skills and data-driven analytical thinking will be preferred.
    • Passion for sustainability and decarbonization is preferred
    • Have a blend of technical, business and soft skills with good commercial acumen
    • Team player with a positive working attitude and the ability to handle tight deadlines
    • Highly versatile and adaptable to changes, able to work independently in a fast-moving environment, and able to cross multiple functions
