- We are seeking a talented Application Developer to join our client's Capital Markets IT department!
- As an Application Developer, you will be responsible for developing features within a specific Delivery Team. You will work autonomously and follow a continuous improvement approach, ensuring high-quality code that adheres to our design, norms, and standards. You will be accountable for delivering solutions that meet both functional and non-functional requirements, taking into account the principles of Agile development.
- Capital Markets IT involves technology solutions and systems used in financial markets for trading, investment, and related activities. This includes electronic trading platforms, risk management systems, market risk, counterparty risk, algorithmic trading, data analytics, and Regulatory measures. The use of advanced technologies like API's, artificial intelligence and cloud solutions are also becoming increasingly prevalent in capital markets to enhance efficiency and decision-making processes.
Responsibilities:
- Design and build interfaces and plugins that support the implementation of front office trading applications
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions aligning with trader workflows
- Ensure system developed adheres to best practices in scalability, performance, and security.
- Deliver high-quality, maintainable code and participate in peer reviews.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of system architecture
- Ensure high performance, reliability, and accuracy of trade booking processes
- Support Implementation/Deployment of the related trading application ensuring seamless adoption to front office environments
- Maintain technical documentation and support user training as needed
Mandatory Skills Description:
- 3+ years of relevant experience in a Banking Capital Markets Front Office applications.
- Proven experience as a .NET Developer in financial services or capital markets
- Strong knowledge of C#, ASP.NET, .NET Core, and related frameworks
- Experience with SQL Server, database design, and performance tuning
- RESTful APIs, Web Services, and messaging systems
- Familiarity with trade booking systems, financial instruments, and trade lifecycle concepts
- Understanding of Agile methodologies and SDLC best practices
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Agile methodology (Scrum/Kanban)
- Experience of working with large scale SQL Server database
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills across all levels with demonstrated ability to influence different stakeholders
- Autonomy to include implicit deliverables in assignment based on best practices
- Strong sense of confidentiality
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
Nice-to-Have Skills Description:
- Familiarity with Orchestrade platform
- Understanding of trade lifecycle (FO/MO/BO), Risk engines and pricing models
- Experience with Jira or other issue tracking system
- Version Control, Devops
