Job Summary

Lead and coordinate ship design projects by liaising with stakeholders, performing ship calculations and conceptual design studies, and managing the design team to deliver newbuilding basic ship designs.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and communicate design requirements with owners, shipyards, and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance and project alignment
• Perform basic ship calculations and conduct conceptual design studies and analyses for newbuilding projects
• Lead and manage the design team to develop and deliver basic ship designs efficiently and accurately

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Recognized Naval Architect degree
• Proficiency in common ship design software to support design tasks
• 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in newbuilding basic ship design
• Ability to lead, plan, organize, and collaborate effectively within a team
• Knowledge of offshore supply vessels to enhance design capabilities (preferred)
