Job Description

Functional Competencies

  • Perform review of structural drawings and stability documents for ship design and offshore installations, according to applicable rules and regulations
  • Communicate and work closely with internal and external stakeholders and ensure contract requirements are met.
  • Provide technical assistance (troubleshoot problems) and attend to clients enquiries on projects.
  • Provide supervision including coaching and training for new hires / junior engineers.
  • Check and validate design review work performed by junior engineers (where applicable).
  • Support Equipment & Material Certification team and Consultancy Services team in drawing review and inspection work, as and when required.
  • Attend all scheduled trainings (locally and overseas) and ultimately achieving specified delegations as agreed in Performance Management Process.
  • Ensure timely and accurate submission of time & expenses sheets.
  • Keep up to date with new rules, regulations and technical information or process disseminated through internal communication.

Requirements

  • Degree qualified in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering or equivalent with minimum 10 years relevant working experience in related field.
  • Familiarity with class rules and international regulations within area of specialization: Hull, Machinery, Electrical / Automation, Safety, Stability / TLO.
