Job Overview
We have an exciting opportunity for a National Solution Key Account to join our team in a unique hybrid role combining strategic account management, project delivery, and business development. This role sits within our Club segment, working with both established national health club chains and emerging operators. Your mission will be to:
- Manage and grow assigned key accounts, strengthening partnerships and improving long-term commercial performance
- Lead and deliver major projects across national chains, ensuring excellence in execution and customer experience
- Drive new business development, identifying and converting new accounts aligned with our premium brand positioning
- Expand market coverage, including selectively developing smaller or boutique operators with high growth potential
In this role you will be the face of Technogym, providing professional, industry-credible advice on our Total Wellness Solutions. In the commercial market we are premium and aspirational. Our salespeople are consultative and sell through value and storytelling, assured by our brand, quality, innovation and Total Wellness Solutions. Teamwork and relationships are key to delivery. Technogym salespeople are hungry, highly professional, industry credible, collaborative, develop and maintain strong relationships and manage a large portfolio of products, services and solution – of course underpinned by a passion for fitness, wellness and sports.
To be successful within the role you will have an exceptional ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders, have strong business and financial acumen, and possess strong project management skills alongside high attention to detail. You will present with impact, appreciate the importance of structure and administration and be a true brand ambassador. While a significant portion of your focus will be on developing existing key accounts, you will also play an important role in expanding our footprint within the Club segment. This includes both acquiring new strategic accounts and building a pipeline of emerging clients.
Responsibilities
1) Account Management & Growth
- Maximise annual revenues from assigned accounts across equipment, services, and solutions
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders
- Develop account strategies to improve P&L and customer retention
- Identify and execute upsell and cross-sell opportunities within existing accounts
- Work in adherence to Technogym's required sales methodology to ensure structured and thorough account management
2) Business Development
- Proactively identify, prospect, and convert new accounts, including national chains and high-potential emerging operators
- Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline across both large and mid-sized opportunities
- Leverage industry networks, events, and partnerships to generate new business leads
- Expand Technogym's presence within the Club segment through targeted market development
3) Project Management & Execution
- Lead and project manage major installations and club development projects
- Collaborate with internal and HQ teams (marketing, logistics, after-sales, etc.) to ensure seamless delivery
- Ensure high standards of execution and customer satisfaction at both local and group levels
4) Commercial & Operational Excellence
- Manage pipeline, forecasting, and CRM systems with high accuracy
- Improve debtor days and overall account financial performance
- Prepare and deliver impactful presentations to decision-makers
- Maintain high standards in account administration, quotations, and reporting
5) Market & Relationship Development
- Stay up to date on industry trends, competitor activity, and customer needs
- Present regularly to decision makers and influencers to update and educate on new products and solutions available
- Represent Technogym at industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities
- Act as a brand ambassador for Technogym's premium positioning
Requirements
- Proven experience in a national account management role, ideally comprising of high-value assets
- Experience in managing complex deals and selling solutions
- Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, Sports & Exercise Science or equivalent preferred
- Project management (methodologies and tools)
- High credibility at a senior stakeholder level and with on-site general managers. Adept at working with different styles/audiences to suit the business need or task in hand
- Direct sales and marketing techniques gained in a previous role with demonstrable relationship management, consultative selling and negotiation skills developed over time
- Strong CRM management knowledge (preferably Salesforce)
- Financial acumen and P&L management experience
- Exceptionally organised and able to deal calmly with high pressure situations and/or changing deadlines
- An expert in the fitness industry – highly preferred but not essential if candidate possesses strong account management/creating solutions/strategic thinking/relationship skills
- Knowledge of fitness product use and physiological benefits
- Social media, IT proficiency and digital skills
- Excellent listening, communication and presentation abilities
