When you work in Freight Logistics and Operations at Kuehne+Nagel, you play a key role in optimising processes and ensuring that inventory and shipments move efficiently. But that is not all. Your work also helps ensure that vital medicines reach patients on time and supports other essential deliveries, from wind turbines to semiconductors. You will be managing the System and Process functions supporting this including all the related activities of process analysis, continuous improvement, training, support and maintenance of all processes and related applications.

Your focus will be on constantly supporting our teams through enhancing operational capability and delivery of data accuracy and quality, implementing new systems, testing andtraining. You will also be responsible to monitor and intervene to improve each process and related KPI in the sea logistics organization.

How you create impact

  • To ensure operational excellence through analysis and improvement of each department processes.
  • To support the Customer Care locations (CCL), Sales as well as Operational Care locations (OCC) through quality training, day to day support systems andprocesses.
  • To actively manage interfaces,the exchange of information andknowledge across the organization.
  • To drive initiatives for the continuous improvements of processes + controls for lean processes focusing on overall customer and user experience, cost to serve effectiveness and efficiency.
  • To monitor KPIs, drive high service quality, review and action planning together with the stakeholders.
  • To manage projects,ensure consistent progress of activities andprovide regular updates to stakeholders

What we would like you to bring

  • Extensive knowledge of sea freight operations and international shipping regulations, including import/export compliance.

  • Strong ability to design, implement, and optimize logistics processes with a focus on efficiency and continuous improvement.

  • Hands‑on experience with logistics systems/ERPs (e.g., SAP, CargoWise) and leading system implementations or integrations.

  • Proven track record in leading cross‑functional teams and collaborating with stakeholders at national level.

  • Skilled in data analysis and reporting, translating insights into actionable improvements and strategic decisions.

  • Commercial acumen to balance operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, and profitability.

  • Resilient, detail‑oriented, and adaptable, with a customer‑centric mindset and strong problem‑solving skills.
