Job Description
Execute contracts for buying/selling crude oil and products, charter parties and logistics and storage contracts, ensuring compliance with the agreed upon conditions and optimizing the success of the contract, in accordance with the set guidelines.
1. Execute and carry out monitoring on charter parties, storage contracts, sales contracts for crude oil and products, controlling, among other aspects, compliance with quantity, quality, and transfer of property in safe credit conditions.
2. Coordinate and control loading/ unloading operations with the supplier/ customer, inspecting companies, consignee agents, ship owners, logistics and programming departments.
3. Prepare and send travel conditions to hired vessels, as well as sending the ship owners letters of indemnity for unloading without a bill of loading.
4. Receive/ prepare and send instructions regarding shipping documentation ensuring, among other things, compliance with import and export requirements.
5. Ensure that operations are traceable with documentation by keeping archive documentation up-to-date.
6. Maintain the databases and systems up-to-date in order to ensure the accuracy of data and efficient handling of information for the rest of the departments within the business unit and the company.
7. Optimize the company's position in relation to third parties by negotiating the terms of contracts, in close collaboration with Traders and other areas within the department.
8. Constantly coordinate with support departments within the business to ensure appropriate sharing of the information necessary to properly carry out transactions.
Job Requirements
At least 10 year's experience in Oil Trading Business
The ideal candidate would hold a commercial degree or similar commercial recognized qualification, a Maritime qualification will be positively evaluated.
Prior work in MNC companies will be an advantages
Ability to work in a fast paced work environment
Flexible, proactive, result-oriented and customer-focused.
Experience in Oil and Gas, Chemical Industry in advantageous
