About the Role
We are seeking a Murex MxML Developer (Mid-Level) with hands-on experience in Murex integration and interface development. The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of MxML Exchange, workflows, messaging, and integration frameworks, and will be responsible for designing, developing, and supporting interfaces between Murex and various upstream/downstream applications within a leading financial institution.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Murex MxML interfaces and integration solutions.
- Configure and support inbound and outbound messaging using MxML Exchange.
- Develop integration workflows between Murex and external systems, including settlements, accounting, market data, and risk platforms.
- Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into scalable integration solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve interface, messaging, and data synchronization issues.
- Support SIT, UAT, and production releases for integration-related changes.
- Participate in system upgrades, migration projects, and platform enhancements.
- Ensure integration solutions comply with development standards, security controls, and operational best practices.
- Create and maintain technical documentation for interfaces and integration processes.
- Collaborate with business analysts, development teams, infrastructure teams, and support teams throughout the project lifecycle.
Required Skills & Experience
- 4 to 7 years of hands-on experience working with Murex MX.3.
- Strong experience with MxML Exchange and Murex integration architecture.
- Proven expertise in designing and supporting Murex interfaces and messaging solutions.
- Good understanding of XML, XSD, Web Services, REST/SOAP APIs, and messaging frameworks.
- Experience with Unix/Linux environments and shell scripting.
- Proficiency in SQL and relational databases.
- Understanding of trade lifecycle processes across Front Office, Middle Office, and Back Office functions.
- Experience troubleshooting integration, messaging, and data flow issues.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with stakeholders in a fast-paced banking environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline.
- Experience within Capital Markets, Investment Banking, or Financial Services organizations.
- Exposure to Murex modules such as Front Office, Back Office, Market Risk, Credit Risk, or Datamart.
- Experience working with middleware technologies and enterprise integration platforms.
- Knowledge of FIX, SWIFT, FpML, or other financial messaging standards.
- Exposure to cloud-based integration and API management platforms is an advantage.
