Hi Candidates!
We are looking for a warm and caring Music Teacher specializing in Vocals & Piano to conduct individual lessons, group lessons, and music explorer classes at Joy Music Studio (Marine Parade).
We're looking for a music teacher with:
- Degree or Diploma in Vocals and minimum Grade 8 Certification in Piano
- At least 1 year+ of teaching experience with a fun, creative approach for kids and teens
- Experience teaching with Pop Vocals and Musical Theatre genres with an understanding ABRSM, RockSchool, and Trinity Curriculums
- Confidently and proactively guides parents about student progress and goals
- Excited to develop and lead programs, concerts, workshops, and camps
- Can commit 42 hours (full-time), 5 days per week
- Is available on Saturdays and Sundays 9am-5pm and 2-3 Weekday afternoons/ evenings 2-8pm
What does a music teacher do at Joy Music Studio:
Teaches Music (Individual and Group Classes)
- Designs lesson plans aligned with student goals and exam syllabi
- Prepares students for exams, performances, and competitions
- Communicates progress to parents (verbal, written, video)
- Use creative, personalized teaching methods to engage students
Helps Create and Grow Our Programs
- Foster a positive, student-centered learning environment
- Improves our instrument dept through curriculum development and best practices
- Works collaboratively to develop programs, concerts, camps, and workshops
Teamwork
- Contributes ideas, helps solve problems, and works with others to make it happen
- Participates in staff meetings and training sessions
- Supports/mentors colleagues and assist with new teacher onboarding
- Assists with marketing efforts and events
- Pitches in with extra effort and a smile (even if it is sometimes outside working hours)
- Helps with piano accompaniment for students
Admin Support
- Helps out regularly with front desk/admin
