Job Summary
As a Guitar/Bass/Ukulele Music Instructor, you will teach students aged 5 and above, plan and deliver engaging lessons, prepare students for exams and performances, and communicate progress with students, parents, and colleagues.
Responsibilities
- Teach guitar, bass, or ukulele to students aged 5 and above, adapting methods to individual learning goals
- Design and plan lesson content aligned with students musical objectives and skill levels
- Monitor and assess students progress regularly to inform lesson adjustments
- Prepare and organize teaching materials and resources to enhance learning experiences
- Coach students for music exams (ABRSM, Trinity, Rockschool) and live performances to ensure readiness
- Communicate students progress and assignments clearly to students and parents to support learning
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues and other teachers to coordinate teaching efforts
- Perform administrative duties related to teaching for full-time instructors
Required competencies and certifications
- Minimum Grade 8 music qualification
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Diploma in music or related field
