About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Murex Credit Risk / MLC Consultant with strong expertise in Murex Limits Controller (MLC) and credit risk management. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, configuring, and enhancing credit risk functionalities within the Murex platform, ensuring robust risk controls, exposure monitoring, and limit management capabilities for a leading financial institution.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, configure, and support Murex Credit Risk solutions within the MLC (Murex Limits Controller) module.
- Implement and maintain credit limit structures, exposure calculations, and monitoring frameworks.
- Configure counterparty, issuer, settlement, and country risk controls within Murex.
- Work closely with risk managers, business analysts, traders, and technology teams to gather requirements and deliver effective solutions.
- Analyze credit risk processes and recommend enhancements to improve efficiency and risk visibility.
- Support the implementation and maintenance of limit monitoring and approval workflows.
- Investigate and resolve production issues related to credit risk and limits management.
- Perform impact assessments and support Murex upgrades, migrations, and enhancement initiatives.
- Participate in SIT, UAT, production releases, and post-deployment support activities.
- Prepare and maintain functional and technical documentation.
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong hands-on experience with Murex MX.3 Credit Risk and MLC (Murex Limits Controller).
- Proven expertise in configuring and supporting credit risk limits, exposures, and monitoring frameworks.
- Solid understanding of credit risk concepts, including counterparty risk, settlement risk, issuer risk, and exposure management.
- Experience configuring MLC workflows, monitoring rules, and credit limit structures.
- Understanding of trade lifecycle processes and their impact on credit exposure calculations.
- Experience working with Capital Markets products, including FX, Fixed Income, Equities, Commodities, and Derivatives.
- Proficiency in SQL and database concepts.
- Experience working in Unix/Linux environments.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve complex business and technical issues.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Prior experience within investment banking, capital markets, or financial services organizations.
- Experience with Murex implementation, migration, or upgrade projects.
- Exposure to LAS (Limit Approval System) integrations and API-based architecture.
- Knowledge of other Murex modules such as Front Office, Market Risk, Datamart, Back Office, or Collateral Management.
- Understanding of regulatory risk management requirements and controls.
