About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Murex Senior Environment Management Consultant to support and manage complex Murex environments across development, testing, UAT, and production landscapes. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in environment administration, release management, deployment processes, automation, and infrastructure support within Murex MX.3 implementations.
This role requires close collaboration with development, testing, production support, and infrastructure teams to ensure stable, high-performing, and well-governed Murex environments that support critical business operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain multiple Murex environments across Development, SIT, UAT, Pre-Production, and Production.
- Perform Murex environment setup, refreshes, cloning, migrations, and configuration activities.
- Coordinate and execute release deployments, patches, hotfixes, and application upgrades.
- Support environment availability, stability, and performance across the Murex platform.
- Automate environment management and deployment activities using scripting and DevOps tools.
- Work closely with development, QA, infrastructure, and business teams to support project delivery timelines.
- Troubleshoot environment-related issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures.
- Manage system monitoring, housekeeping, capacity planning, and operational controls.
- Ensure adherence to governance, change management, and release management processes.
- Participate in disaster recovery, production support, and business continuity activities.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and support runbooks.
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong hands-on experience supporting Murex MX.3 environments.
- Extensive experience in Murex Environment Management, release management, and deployment activities.
- Strong understanding of Murex architecture, environment lifecycle management, and platform administration.
- Experience with Unix/Linux administration and shell scripting.
- Knowledge of Oracle database administration concepts and SQL.
- Experience with environment refreshes, data migration, cloning, and production support.
- Strong understanding of change management, release processes, and system governance.
- Experience troubleshooting application, infrastructure, and environment-related issues.
- Familiarity with scheduling tools, monitoring solutions, and automation frameworks.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced banking and financial services environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline.
- Prior experience within banking, capital markets, or financial services organizations.
- Experience supporting large-scale Murex implementation, migration, or upgrade programs.
- Exposure to DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment automation tools.
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and enterprise platform management.
- Knowledge of Murex modules such as Front Office, Market Risk, Credit Risk, Datamart, Back Office, or Collateral Management.
- Understanding of high-availability architecture, disaster recovery, and production support models.
