Job Description

United Women Singapore Limited (UWS) is a local non-profit organisation with IPC status that advances women's empowerment and gender equality and builds a pipeline of women leaders and influencers in Singapore. The organisation has been operating for over 28 years and works towards narrowing the gender equality gap through education and raising awareness and advocacy on issues such as women's empowerment and anti-violence, with the support of key stakeholders including corporate partners, government agencies, academia, the diplomatic community, other non-profit and community groups and the wider community.

We are seeking four dynamic and proactive Interns (1 per function) to support key areas of the organisation: Fundraising, Programme Support, Finance & Administration, and Communications. This internship offers hands-on exposure within a purpose-driven environment, ideal for students from local Polytechnics and Universities who are keen to contribute to meaningful social impact.

Each Intern will be assigned to a specific function while having opportunities to collaborate across teams on organisational initiatives.
1. Fundraising Intern (1 Position)

  • Support the development and implementation of diverse fundraising strategies across multiple channels
  • Assist in planning and execution of flagship events, donor campaigns, and community initiatives
  • Conduct research on potential donors, grant opportunities, and CSR partnerships
  • Support outreach efforts, including corporate engagement and donor communications
  • Assist in digital fundraising efforts (e.g., social media campaigns, Giving.sg campaigns)

2. Programme Support Intern (1 Position)

  • Assist in coordinating and delivering programmes, workshops, and community activities
  • Support engagement with beneficiaries, volunteers, and partners
  • Help track programme outcomes and prepare reports
  • Provide logistical and administrative support for programme implementation

3. Finance & Administration Intern (1 Position)

  • Assist with finance processes such as claims tracking, invoice processing, and data entry
  • Support administrative functions including documentation, scheduling, and coordination
  • Help maintain records in line with audit and compliance requirements
  • Provide operational support for procurement and office management

4. Communications Intern (1 Position)

  • Support content creation for social media, newsletters, and outreach materials
  • Assist in managing digital platforms (e.g., website updates, email campaigns)
  • Contribute to storytelling efforts, including impact stories and campaigns
  • Track engagement metrics and support communications reporting

Requirements

  • Recent graduate from a Polytechnic or University in Singapore
  • Preferred fields: Business, Communications, Social Sciences, Accountancy, or related disciplines
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work independently and in teams
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office / Google Workspace social media platforms, Canva or similar tools are a bonus
  • Interest in the social service / non-profit sector
  • Support on-ground events and donor/volunteer activities
  • Able to commit to a 6 month internship, preferably full-time.
