Job Description

We are seeking a creative and skilled Multimedia Officer / Graphic Designer to join our team at Golden Pagoda Buddhist Temple. The successful candidate will be responsible for conceptualising, designing, and managing all design works related to Buddhist ceremonies, temple events, and publicity materials. The role requires strong design skills, creativity, and the ability to work independently in a Buddhist temple environment.

Responsibilities

  • Conceptualise, design, and manage design works for Buddhist ceremonies and temple events, including flyers, posters, signages, reports, magazines, name display cards, announcements, labels, signage, and website materials.
  • Develop original creative concepts to effectively communicate publicity messages.
  • Liaise with printing vendors on artwork preparation and ensure high-quality production.
  • Record temple activities through photography and videography to document events.
  • Assist in temple events and activities when required.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by temple management.

Requirements

  • Diploma in Visual Communication, Multimedia, Graphic Design or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience in graphic design.
  • Proficient in design software such as Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator.
  • Knowledge of photography and videography techniques.
  • Creative mindset with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Willing to work on weekends and public holidays during major temple events.
  • Comfortable working in a Buddhist temple environment.
  • Bilingual in English and Mandarin to communicate with Chinese-speaking stakeholders.
  • Ability to type Chinese characters using Hanyu Pinyin.
