Multi-Platform Sub-Editor (Lianhe Zaobao)

We are looking for a highly motivated and sharp-eyed Multi-Platform Sub-Editor to join our fast-paced newsroom.

Key Responsibilities:

• Craft high-impact story headlines and standfirsts for various platforms
• Design, prepare and complete layouts for print
• Ensure factual accuracy and alignment of final copies to the publication's house style
• Work closely with reporters and editor to coordinate, curate and optimize content

Requirements:

• Degree in Journalism, Communications, Chinese Studies or related field.
• Candidates with 2-3 years of relevant experience in a newsroom or editorial environment are highly preferred.
• Effectively bilingual in English and Chinese (both written and spoken), as this role is for a Chinese publication
• Strong interest and in-depth knowledge of news and current affairs
• A meticulous team player with a strong sense of responsibility
• Strong analytical skills and inquisitive nature
• Able to work late shift (3pm to Midnight) to meet our daily production cycles
