MOTOR VEHICLE MECHANIC

Roles and Responsibilities

Perform repair, servicing, and preventive maintenance of heavy vehicles, including buses, coaches, and minibuses.

Inspect vehicle engines, mechanical components, and systems to identify faults and diagnose problems accurately.

Respond promptly to roadside vehicle breakdowns and provide efficient technical assistance to drivers.

Conduct inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs for vehicle breakdowns both within the workshop and at roadside or off-site locations.

Manage and maintain accurate records of vehicle spare parts inventory, including the usage of spare parts for individual vehicle repairs.

Carry out cleaning and washing of heavy equipment and vehicle components as scheduled or required, using water-jet equipment.

Install, remove, and maintain electrical systems and equipment, including in-vehicle cameras, electrical accessories, and other vehicle devices.

Maintain proper housekeeping, cleanliness, and tidiness within the workshop and work areas.

Perform routine inspections of vehicle air-conditioning systems and wheel alignment, and repair or replace components where necessary.

Ensure all repairs and maintenance work are carried out efficiently and in accordance with safety and operational standards.

Perform any other adhoc duties as assigned by the supervisor or management.

Job Requirements

Nitec, Automotive Technology (Heavy Vehicles), Mechanical Engineering/Electrical

Preferably with Class 3 Driving License

Able to work in fast -paced working environment.

Minimum1 to 2 years relevant experience in a similar industry
