Job Description

Job Title: MIS Manager - Infrastructure & Security

The MIS Manager - Infrastructure and Security is responsible for the strategic planning, management, and execution of IT infrastructure and security operations to support AsiaPac needs. This role ensures the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of the organization's IT infrastructure, including end-user computing, servers, storage, backup, security, network, and cloud systems. Additionally, the MIS Manager will ensure compliance with all IT policies, governance standards, and internal or external audits such as ISO.


Key Responsibilities

  • Overall responsible for AsiaPac internal IT infrastructure & Security
  • Manages and supervises the MIS Engineers to handle AsiaPac End User Computing, Infrastructure Services (AD, DNS, DHCP Servers/Virtual Machines, Storage, Backup, Security, Network, Cloud systems AWS, Azure, VMWare etc.)
  • Oversee Desktop Support: Manage and support all end-user computing devices, including desktops, laptops, tablets, and mobile devices.
  • Software Management: Ensure the installation, configuration, and maintenance of end-user software applications.
  • User Training and Support: Provide training and support for end-users on hardware, software, and system usage.
  • IT Asset Management: Track and manage inventory of IT assets and ensure compliance with licensing agreements.
  • Active Directory (AD), DNS, DHCP
  • Directory Services Management: Oversee the administration and maintenance of Active Directory services.
  • DNS Management: Manage Domain Name System (DNS) for internal and external name resolution.
  • DHCP Services: Ensure Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) servers are properly configured and managed.
  • Server Management: Oversee the deployment, maintenance, and troubleshooting of physical and virtual servers.
  • Virtualization: Manage virtualization technologies (e.g., VMWare, Hyper-V) to ensure optimal performance and resource utilization.
  • Patch Management: Ensure all servers and virtual machines are up-to-date with the latest patches and updates.
  • Storage Management: Oversee the configuration, monitoring, and maintenance of storage systems.
  • Backup Solutions: Implement and manage backup and recovery solutions to ensure data integrity and availability.
  • Disaster Recovery: Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity
  • Cloud Management: Oversee the deployment, management, and maintenance of cloud infrastructure and services (AWS, Azure).
  • Cost Management: Monitor and manage cloud usage to control costs and ensure efficient resource utilization.
  • Cloud Security: Implement security measures to protect cloud-based assets and ensure compliance with security standards.
  • Network Infrastructure: Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
  • Network Security: Ensure the security of the network by implementing appropriate firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and other security measures.
  • Monitoring and Performance: Monitor network performance and address any issues to ensure optimal operation.
  • Security Policies and Procedures: Develop, implement, and enforce IT security policies and procedures.
  • Threat Management: Monitor and respond to security incidents and threats.
  • Access Control: Manage user access controls and ensure least privilege principles are enforced.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory and industry standards (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001).
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic IT plans aligned with organizational goals.
  • Vendor Management: Manage relationships with IT vendors and service providers.
  • Budget Management: Develop and manage the IT budget to ensure cost-effective operations.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor IT staff, ensuring continuous professional development and high performance.
  • Project Management: Oversee IT projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business objectives.
  • Governance and Compliance
  • Policy Enforcement: Ensure all IT policies are maintained and adhered to.
  • Audit Compliance: Ensure compliance with internal and external audits such as ISO 27001, GDPR, and other relevant standards.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate IT risks through robust governance frameworks.


Qualifications/Experience/Knowledge

  • Degree or equivalent in Computer Science
  • At least 8 years of IT experience, 5 years in Infra management and operations, 3 years in people management
  • In-depth knowledge of escalation procedures, incident management, and other disciplines related to service delivery
  • Technical hands on of IT lifecycle management (EUC, DC/Cloud Services)
  • Technical hands-on with infra stacks i.e. desktops/laptops/devices, servers
  • Technical hands-on with Windows OS, Servers, Storage, Network, VMware , Cloud i.e. AD domain management/modifications, Certificates management, DNS, VPN, LAN/Wifi configurations, Backup.
  • Technical certifications in Cloud, Vmware is and added advantage.
  • Experience in managing on-site IT room / Data Center
  • Strong problem-solving skills and able to prioritise and manage multiple tasks
  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills with ability to coordinate between technical and business teams
  • Readiness to demonstrate a proactive attitude
