Client Introduction
A well-established financial institution is hiring a
Middleware Engineer (Tomcat, WebSphere, WebLogic)to support and enhance its core platform environment. This role sits within a critical technology team responsible for keeping key enterprise systems stable, secure, and well integrated. Job Responsibilities
- Support and manage the day-to-day middleware environment across key application and integration platforms
- Troubleshoot incidents, investigate root causes, and work through issues to resolution rather than only escalating to vendors
- Support platform upgrades, patching, system improvements, and ongoing operational activities
- Work closely with infrastructure, security, database, and application teams to maintain stable system performance
- Assist with documentation, environment reviews, and platform-related project work
- Support compliance, security remediation, and continuity requirements where needed.
Job Requirements
- At least 7 years of relevant experience in middleware, integration, or application platform support
- Good hands-on experience with technologies such asTomcat, WebSphere, WebLogic, or similar middleware platforms
- Strong troubleshooting skills, with the ability to explain issues clearly and drive problem resolution end to end
- Banking or financial services experiencewill be an advantage
- Exposure to message-based or integration environments will be useful
- Familiarity with areas such as patching, security remediation, DR support, or platform compliance would be helpful
- Exposure to cloud-based middleware services such as Azure Service Bus will be good to have.
