We are looking for a hands-on Middleware Engineer to join a leading enterprise/banking environment, responsible for building, managing, and optimizing middleware platforms that support critical business applications.
This role requires strong expertise in container platforms, event streaming, caching technologies, and secrets management, along with the ability to work in high-availability, production environments.
Role & Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and manage middleware platforms across enterprise environments
- Work hands-on with OpenShift (Kubernetes) for containerized application deployments
- Configure and support Kafka for real-time messaging and event streaming
- Manage Redis for caching and performance optimization
- Implement and maintain secure secrets management using Conjur (or similar tools)
- Troubleshoot performance, system, and integration issues across middleware layers
- Support CI/CD pipelines and automate deployments
- Collaborate with development, DevOps, and infrastructure teams
- Provide production support and ensure high availability of systems
Skills & Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience with OpenShift / Kubernetes
- Experience with Kafka (event streaming / messaging systems)
- Knowledge of Redis (caching technologies)
- Experience with Conjur or other secrets management tools
- Good understanding of Linux/Unix environments
- Familiarity with microservices architecture and distributed systems
- Exposure to CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Git, etc.)
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Experience in banking / enterprise environments is a plus
