We are seeking a skilled and proactive Middleware Administrator to join our IT infrastructure team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing, upgrading, and maintaining our JBoss Enterprise Application Platform (EAP) environments. This role is critical in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of our middleware systems.
. Upgrade JBoss EAP: Plan, execute, and validate the upgrade of JBoss EAP from version 7.2 to 7.4
across all relevant environments, ensuring minimal downtime and robust rollback strategies.
. Setup JBoss EAP 8.1.x: Install, configure, and optimise JBoss EAP 8.1.x for new and existing
applications, including cluster setup, security hardening, and integration with other enterprise
systems.
. Troubleshoot JBoss EAP Issues: Diagnose and resolve incidents and performance issues related to
JBoss EAP, collaborating with development and operations teams to ensure system stability and availability.
. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
. Proven experience administering JBoss EAP environments, including upgrades and new
installations.
. Strong troubleshooting skills for middleware and application server environments.
. Familiarity with Windows server operating systems and scripting (PowerShell, batch file, etc.).
. Experience with security configurations, clustering, and performance tuning in JBoss EAP.
. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
. Experience with JBoss EAP 7.x and 8.x in production environments.
. Knowledge of DevOps tools and automation for middleware management.
. Background in application deployment and CI/CD pipelines.
