Middle Office Operations Specialist (Asset Management)
Our client, a leading asset manager is seeking a Middle Office Operations Specialist to support daily investment operations and post-trade activities across multiple asset classes. The role requires strong product knowledge in trade processing, settlement, and lifecycle management for Fixed Income, FX, Derivatives, and Equities products within an asset management environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end trade support and operational processes across Fixed Income, FX, Derivatives, and Equities products
- Ensure accurate and timely trade capture, confirmation, settlement, reconciliation, and lifecycle event processing
- Monitor daily trading activities and resolve trade breaks, settlement discrepancies, and operational issues with internal and external stakeholders
- Liaise closely with portfolio managers, traders, custodians, brokers, fund administrators, and counterparties to ensure smooth operational workflow
- Support corporate actions, cash and position reconciliations, collateral management, and NAV-related processes
- Monitor settlement status and investigate failed trades to minimize operational and market risk exposure
- Support onboarding of new products, counterparties, brokers, and market initiatives
- Participate in UAT testing, system implementation, process enhancement, and operational improvement projects
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, regulatory requirements, and operational procedures
- Prepare operational reports and management information for internal stakeholders
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or related discipline
- Minimum 3-8 years of experience in Middle Office, Investment Operations, Trade Support, or Fund Operations within asset management, hedge funds, private banks, or financial institutions
- Strong product knowledge in Fixed Income, FX, Derivatives, and Equities settlement and operational processes
- Familiarity with trade lifecycle management, reconciliation, corporate actions, and collateral processes
- Experience working with custodians, fund administrators, brokers, and trading platforms
- Knowledge of Bloomberg, SWIFT, Avaloq, Murex, or other investment operation systems is advantageous
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment
