Job Description

The Fund Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operational activities of the firm's investment funds, ensuring efficient trade lifecycle management, NAV oversight, cash and custody management, regulatory reporting support, and coordination with external service providers. The role plays a critical part in maintaining a robust operational control environment while supporting portfolio managers, investors, and senior management.

The successful candidate will have strong experience in fund operations within a licensed fund management company, hedge fund, private equity firm, family office, or fund administrator and possess a sound understanding of Singapore regulatory requirements.

Job Responsibilities:

Fund & Cashflow Management

  • Fund Management: Assist in the management of all private real estate funds and investment projects.

  • Payment Tracking: Track capital repayments, dividend payments, and cashflow projections.

  • Commissions: Track commission payments for the RMs and referrals.

Investor Relations & Reporting

  • Investor Services: Assist with investor onboarding, customer due diligence, capital calls, and distributions, including liaisons with Relationship Manager and Finance team.
  • Client Reporting: Generate quarterly client statements, which include performance summaries of investment accounts, project summaries, and periodic market overview reports.
  • Correspondence: Prepare repayment, dividend payment, and update letters whenever necessary.

Fund Structuring & Documentation

  • New Fund Setup: Work with external consultants (legal and compliance), and in-house teams on the establishment and structuring of new private real estate funds.
  • Documentation: Prepare fund documents, marketing materials, and execute fund documentation.
  • Due Diligence: Onboarding KYC and liaisons with Relationship Management/clients/ third parties
  • Family Office: Assist with family office documentation and related tasks.

Service Provider Management

  • Act as the primary operational contact for:
  • Fund administrators
  • Custodian banks
  • Prime brokers
  • External auditors
  • Tax advisers
  • Legal counsel
  • Monitor service levels and operational KPIs.
  • Participate in operational due diligence reviews.

Regulatory and Compliance Support

  • Support compliance with applicable MAS regulations and licence obligations.
  • Assist in regulatory reporting and operational information required for statutory filings.
  • Maintain operational policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Support internal and external audits.
  • Ensure proper record keeping in accordance with regulatory requirements.

Key Requirements:

  • University degree in Business Administration, or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience in fund management / private equity / real estate are highly advantageous, but not mandatory
  • Knowledge of Regulatory and AML/ KYC requirements
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Meticulous and attention to details
  • Ability to multitask, work independently and be a team player
