Role Overview

The Middle Office Director will play a pivotal role in strengthening operational efficiency, driving client engagement through technology solutions, and enhancing market intelligence capabilities within AEM Singapore. This position combines leadership, commercial responsibility, and strategic development to support both internal teams and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

1. Back Office Team Development & Optimisation

  • Lead the enhancement of the back-office function within AEM Singapore.
  • Design and implement training programs to improve team performance and technical knowledge.
  • Monitor daily operations to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and high-quality output.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, motivation, and continuous improvement.
  • Maximise team productivity with a focus on delivering timely, high-value information to brokers.

2. ATOM CTI System Sales & Client Engagement

  • Drive the promotion of ATOM CTI (Bespoke software) internally at AEM
  • Drive the promotion and sales of ATOM CTI with external clients
  • Identify and establish new client relationships through proactive outreach.
  • Deliver compelling presentations and live demonstrations of the system to prospective clients.
  • Act as a subject matter expert, handling client queries and providing tailored solutions.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to refine product positioning and client experience.

3. Internal Research Team Development

  • Create and lead an internal research team based in Singapore.
  • Leverage time zone advantages to produce timely market commentary for European brokers and clients.
  • Oversee the creation of insightful, accurate, and relevant market reports.
  • Ensure consistent delivery of high-quality research that supports client decision-making.
  • Continuously refine research processes to improve speed, clarity, and value of output.

Key Skills & Experience

  • Proven leadership experience in middle/back-office operations or financial services.
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience in client-facing roles or product sales.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of the OTC Oil, Futures & Options markets
  • Experience building and managing teams, including training and performance management.
  • Strong understanding of financial markets and market commentary production.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • 10 years plus relevant experience
