A leading global asset management firm is seeking a Middle Office Associate to support the Portfolio Management trading lifecycle across APAC markets. This role sits at the center of trading operations and works closely with Portfolio Management, Trade Support, Legal and Compliance, Operations, Technology teams, and State Street IMS (back office) to ensure accurate and efficient trade processing.
Key Responsibilities
. Validate and confirm block trades through STP or broker confirmations while monitoring settlement activity and escalating failed trades when required.
. Investigate and resolve trade related inquiries from internal teams, brokers, and other external stakeholders.
. Manage onboarding and access requests for trading platforms and related systems while ensuring processes comply with internal policies and operational controls.
. Prepare daily trading activity and end of day reports, and perform reconciliations of equity positions and market values.
. Monitor APAC regulatory trade reporting requirements and address any late trade submissions.
. Support monthly reporting and collaborate with back office teams to resolve operational risk items.
. Contribute to operational improvement initiatives by analysing trade flows, identifying workflow enhancements, and support other ad hoc duties.
Requirements
. Minimum 3 years in investment management or financial services.
. Bachelor degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field is a must.
. Experience in Middle Office or Trade Support with exposure to APAC markets is advantageous.
. Knowledge of financial products including Fixed Income, FX, Derivatives, and Equities.
. Strong written and verbal communication skills in English. Mandarin is advantageous.
. Ability to work and solve problems independently with strong attention to detail.
. Experience with MS Office, Bloomberg order management systems, and matching tools.
. Flexibility to support APAC markets and team shift arrangements.
