The position requires delivering clean, layered Photoshop files suitable for animation on platforms such as Spotify Canvas and YouTube. This is an ongoing opportunity, with approximately two covers required per month.
Responsibilities
- Design and illustrate original album covers in a folk naive style, emphasizing hand-painted or hand-made qualities
- Ensure all artwork is culturally accurate, expressive, and consistent with the established brand aesthetic
- Incorporate one to four figures and richly textured backgrounds in each cover
- Deliver clean, layered Photoshop files ready for animation and digital use
- Collaborate with the team to understand project requirements and meet creative briefs
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously and adhere to deadlines for ongoing monthly releases
- Maintain open communication and respond promptly to feedback and revision requests
Skills And Requirements
- Proven experience in illustration or painting, with a portfolio demonstrating folk naive or culturally inspired artwork
- Strong understanding of color, composition, and visual storytelling
- Ability to create expressive, hand-made artwork without the use of AI-generated tools
