The Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity to join our Core Finance practice in Singapore for a period of 12 to 24 months.
This role is ideally suited to a mid- to senior-level finance lawyer looking to gain international experience and expand their exposure to cross-border financing transactions across Asia. The Singapore team advises on a broad range of banking and finance matters, offering an excellent platform to deepen technical expertise and develop a well-rounded international finance skillset.
You will work closely with our Singapore-based partner Salonika Rathod, as well as colleagues across the firm's international network. The role offers exposure to market-leading matters and the opportunity to work on transactions with meaningful regional and global impact.
Key Responsibilities
Advising on a broad range of banking and finance transactions, including corporate lending, acquisition finance and general financing matters
Drafting, reviewing and negotiating finance and transaction documentation
Supporting due diligence processes and coordinating multi-jurisdictional workstreams
Working closely with partners and senior lawyers on transaction execution and client delivery
Assisting with client development, knowledge sharing and internal know-how initiatives
Exploring opportunities to leverage AI and legal technology to improve efficiency and ways of working
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Qualification as a lawyer with 4-7 years PQE in banking and finance
Be Singapore qualified, or qualified in England & Wales and/or Australia with relevant finance experience
Strong drafting skills and a keen interest in complex financing structures
A commercial mindset, sound judgement and attention to detail
Comfort working in a fast-paced environment and managing competing priorities
A collaborative, proactive approach and commitment to delivering high-quality client service
Curiosity around innovation and the use of AI in legal practice
