Microsoft Exchange System Engineer

Are you an experienced Microsoft Exchange & Windows Server Engineer looking for an exciting opportunity to support and maintain mission-critical IT infrastructure within a secure enterprise environment

In this role, you will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing our Microsoft Exchange Server and Windows Server environments. You will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of our email and messaging systems while providing technical support to end users and internal teams.

This is a 1-year renewable project offering the opportunity to work in a highly secure and stable environment supporting enterprise-scale Microsoft infrastructure.

Only Singapore citizen to apply as security clearance is required in this project

What You'll Be Doing

- Administer and maintain Microsoft Exchange Server environments, including installation, configuration, updates, and patches

- Manage Windows Server infrastructure, including deployment, monitoring, and optimization of server performance

- Perform routine system maintenance tasks, including backups, disaster recovery procedures, and system health checks

- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to Exchange Server and Windows Server systems in a timely and efficient manner

- Manage Active Directory user accounts, permissions, and security policies

- Monitor system performance and capacity planning to ensure optimal resource utilization

- Implement and maintain security protocols and best practices for email and server systems

- Document system configurations, procedures, and changes in an organized manner

- Collaborate with IT team members to support infrastructure projects and system upgrades

- Provide technical support and guidance to end users regarding email and server-related issues

- Analyze system logs and performance metrics to identify and resolve potential issues proactively

What We're Looking For

Must-Have Skills

• Proven experience administering Microsoft Exchange Server (2016/2019/2022)

• Strong experience managing Windows Server environments

• Hands-on experience with Active Directory

• Good understanding of Microsoft messaging infrastructure

• Experience performing server patching, maintenance and troubleshooting

• Knowledge of backup and disaster recovery solutions

• Experience using PowerShell for system administration

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work independently and within a team environment

Nice to Have

Candidates with experience in any of the following will have an added advantage:

• Microsoft 365 / Office 365 Hybrid Exchange

• Exchange Online migrations

• VMware or Hyper-V virtualization

• ITIL Foundation Certification

• Microsoft Server or Exchange certifications

• Enterprise monitoring tools (SCOM, SolarWinds, PRTG, etc.)

• Network fundamentals and infrastructure security
