Microsoft Copilot Enablement & Governance Lead
Are you passionate about driving enterprise AI adoption while ensuring security, governance, and compliance We are seeking a highly skilled Microsoft Copilot Enablement & Governance Lead to lead the strategic rollout, governance, and scaling of Microsoft Copilot capabilities across a global enterprise environment.
This role is ideal for professionals who can balance innovation with risk management, enabling organizations to unlock the full value of Microsoft Copilot while maintaining enterprise-grade controls and compliance standards.
Role Summary
Lead the enablement, governance, and enterprise-wide adoption of Microsoft Copilot, including:
Agents
Plugins
Connectors
Advanced Extensibility Features
Enterprise AI Governance
You will own the lifecycle of Copilot capabilities from evaluation and approval through deployment, monitoring, optimization, and retirement while ensuring secure, compliant, and cost-effective implementation.
Key Responsibilities
Capability Prioritization & Enablement
- Curate, prioritize, and deploy Microsoft Copilot capabilities aligned with business goals.
- Manage the enterprise backlog and rollout roadmap for agents, connectors, and extensibility features.
- Balance business demand with governance and platform readiness.
- Drive user enablement through training, documentation, and adoption programs.
Governance & Compliance
- Lead end-to-end governance and approval processes.
- Collaborate with Security, Legal, Privacy, and Architecture teams.
- Conduct capability assessments, risk reviews, and compliance validations.
- Maintain audit trails and governance documentation for enterprise compliance.
️ Platform Governance & Controls
- Establish and enforce governance frameworks for:
- Agents
- Plugins
- Connectors
- Data Access
- Lifecycle Management
- Oversee capability onboarding, monitoring, retirement, and decommissioning.
- Ensure enterprise standards and controls are consistently applied.
Extensibility & Integration
- Govern integrations with:
- Internal APIs
- Enterprise Systems
- Third-Party Agents
- External Data Sources
- Define secure integration patterns and approval standards.
- Partner closely with architecture and security teams.
Monitoring, Analytics & FinOps
- Develop adoption and performance dashboards.
- Track usage, business value realization, and capability health.
- Manage Copilot consumption costs, budgets, and PAYG controls.
- Optimize spend while maximizing business impact.
- Drive data-driven decisions for future capability investments.
Required Qualifications
Microsoft Copilot Expertise
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 Copilot capabilities, including:
- OOTB Agents
- Agent Builder
- Copilot Chat/Cowork
- Project Scout
- Copilot Extensibility Features
Governance & Enterprise Leadership
- Proven experience establishing governance frameworks in enterprise environments.
- Strong understanding of:
- Security
- Compliance
- Privacy
- Risk Management
- Experience working with Security, Legal, Privacy, and Architecture stakeholders.
Strategic Leadership
- Ability to drive AI innovation while maintaining operational discipline.
- Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional leadership skills.
