Job Summary
Support microbiology and molecular research by performing microbial culture maintenance, fermentation, and testing of food and environmental samples. Apply advanced microbiology techniques and data analysis to deliver accurate scientific results.
Responsibilities
- Perform microbiology testing on food and environmental samples to ensure accurate analysis
- Maintain microbial cultures to support ongoing research projects
- Conduct fermentation processes to develop and optimize microbial growth conditions
- Apply advanced microbial culturing, fermentation, and media formulation skills to achieve research objectives
- Utilize qPCR and spectrophotometry techniques to analyze samples and generate reliable data
- Apply biostatistics knowledge to analyze experimental results and support scientific conclusions
- Prepare clear and detailed scientific reports and documentation
- Demonstrate precise pipetting skills to ensure experimental accuracy
- Manage flexible working hours effectively to meet laboratory testing demands
- Work independently as a self-starter to drive research tasks to completion
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Life Science or related science course
- Minimum 5 years of experience in microbiology research
