Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced MTBM Operator to manage and operate Micro Tunnel Boring Machines for underground pipe jacking and utility tunnel projects in Singapore.
Responsibilities
- Operate TBM and MTBM machines to excavate metro, sewer, or utility tunnels safely and efficiently
- Monitor machine parameters such as thrust, torque, and pressure to ensure optimal machine performance and prevent malfunctions
- Perform cutterhead inspections and conduct routine maintenance to maintain machine reliability and minimize downtime
- Record daily tunneling progress accurately to track project status and support reporting requirements
- Follow all safety procedures and workplace health guidelines to maintain a safe working environment
Required competencies and certifications
- Apply Workplace Safety and Health in Construction Sites certificate (formerly CSOC) to ensure compliance with safety regulations
- Demonstrate 3-5 years of experience operating TBM or MTBM machines in relevant tunneling projects
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Hold a Diploma or Technical Certificate in Civil or Mechanical Engineering or related fields
- Communicate effectively in basic English to support teamwork and coordination
- Be immediately available to join the project
