Job Description

Job Summary

This role requires manufacturing background, solid understanding of production or fab operations, and hands-on MES experience beyond vendor coordination or project management. This MES Engineer role with real shop-floor or factory experience.

Mandatory Skill-set

  • Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related discipline;
  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on MES experience;
  • Must have hands-on MES experience in configuration, support, and troubleshooting;
  • Solid understanding of production, shop-floor, or fab operations;
  • Working knowledge of Oracle SQL (basic to intermediate);
  • Experience in semiconductor, electronics, or high-technology manufacturing;
  • Exposure to MES platforms such as Camstar, Siemens SIMATIC IT / Opcenter, Apriso, SAP ME, TrackWise, or Werum PAS-X;
  • Experience supporting live production environments.

Desired Skill-set

  • Exposure in Tibco (TIB / RV) or equivalent middleware is desirable;
  • Must have familiarity with SECS / GEM (SEMI Equipment Communication Standard / Generic Equipment Model);
  • Strong communication and documentation skills;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with manufacturing systems and equipment, acting as a bridge between IT and shop-floor operations (OT);
  • Provide MES operations and support, including monitoring, maintenance, and documentation of MES models (products, routes, operations, lot movements);
  • Deliver Level 2 and Level 3 production support to ensure stable and uninterrupted factory operations;
  • Collaborate with IT OSS and CIM teams to maintain system availability, performance, and response time;
  • Design, develop, maintain, and continuously improve MES / CIM applications and components;
  • Gather requirements, design solutions, and deploy new or enhanced MES/CIM applications;
  • Document system requirements and coordinate enhancements within assigned functional areas;
  • Plan and conduct training for assigned MES/CIM applications;
  • Work with cross-functional teams on productivity improvement, cost reduction, and operational enhancement initiatives.
