Serve as the Assistant Manager - Merchandising, managing and executing all merchandising responsibilities.
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
Strategies & management
. Develop sales strategy aligned with short- and long-term goals, with measurable metrices.
. Establish and drive commercial priorities of key products.
. Assist with pre-season planning.
. Plan product launches together with the team and work with relevant departments to develop launch and promotional campaigns.
. Compile detailed reports and lead regular brand review meetings, offering actionable insights to support informed business decisions.
. Track and analyse sales performance across all markets, ensuring effective brand management and identifying areas for growth.
. Take full ownership of the product journey, overseeing every stage from development through to sales execution.
. Maintain a comprehensive view of the Singapore market, as well as any emerging markets the brand may enter, ensuring alignment with local and global strategies.
. Stay updated on market trends, competitor pricing, and product innovations to adjust strategies accordingly.
. Regularly assess the competencies of both direct and indirect team members, providing constructive feedback and guidance to foster a high-performance culture.
Product Management
. Working closely with the brand's product developer(s)
. Coordinate product development plans to meet timeline
. Monitor costs and adhere to budget allocation.
. Coordinate the development of patterns or mock-ups for new product designs.
. Gather and analyse customer feedback on different product categories for product improvement.
. Oversee the shipment and tracking of product samples between the company and factories.
. Act as the primary point of contact for the Dhaka factories, ensuring consistent alignment on product designs and manufacturing processes.
Relationship Management
. Liaise with B2B customers and other operational functions on a day-to-day basis to resolve issues or to facilitate clients.
. Maintain effective relationship with B2B customers through regular communication.
Stock & Delivery Management
. Analyse sales and take necessary actions to drive net selling in a cost-efficient way.
. Support team and stakeholders in understanding stock levels and selling performance.
. Plan, analyse and forecast stock levels.
. Collaborate with dispatchers and third-party logistics to ensure prompt delivery of stock to consignment stores, pop-up shops, and exhibitions.
. Work closely with production and factory teams to manage order lead times, address daily issues, and track shipments for timely order fulfillment.
. Work with the team to perform stock counts regularly, and before and after external events ensuring alignment between actual stock and in the system.
. Work with external logistics and warehouse partners, in Singapore to ensure stock levels and manage delivery partners.
. Work with the team to validate the accuracy of incoming stock against invoices or purchase orders.
Supply Chain Management
. Working knowledge of data analysis and forecasting tools and ability to develop actionable insights from data, including, but not limited to sales forecasts and trends.
. Develop and execute projects to enhance supply chain operations.
. Provide frequent and structured feedback about the commercial plans on prices quantities, sales forecasts, assortment width, size curve etc.
Visual Merchandising
. Work alongside the branding and marketing teams to coordinate and plan visually appealing merchandising concepts for stores and events, ensuring alignment with overall brand strategy.
. Partner with branding to style mannequins, showcasing key looks from the latest collection that reflect seasonal themes and brand identity.
. Work with internal teams and external vendors, in coordination with branding, to ensure the timely setup and execution of VM displays.
E-Commerce Management
. Launch new products on the Rawbought online platforms/ Inventory Management system.
. Work with relevant teams to plan and organise photoshoot of products.
Team management
. Assign tasks based on individual strengths, skills, and workloads. Ensure equitable distribution of responsibilities to optimize team efficiency and prevent burnout.
. Foster open and transparent communication within the team. Encourage collaboration by organising regular team meetings, check-ins, and updates to keep everyone aligned.
. Address conflicts or challenges within the team promptly and impartially. Facilitate productive conversations to resolve issues and maintain a positive working environment.
Other Ad-hoc Duties
. Be part of the rotation to pick and pack customers orders on a weekly basis.
. Liaise with delivery partners for any delivery and collection matters.
. Assist in the set-up of event pop-ups.
. Participate and promote our products during events.
. Assist in the planning and execution of photoshoots and media events.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Educational Background
. Diploma in supply chain management, logistics or Fashion.
Experience
. 3 to 5 year of merchandising experience in fashion apparel/ manufacturing field.
. Overseas merchandising experience is a plus, but not necessary.
. Previous experience working in an in-house merchandising role, controlling, or other similar role in the eCommerce field.
. Singapore market knowledge of customer expectations, the retail/ fashion industry and competitors.
