MAIN PURPOSE
This role is responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive merchandise and e-commerce strategy for Grand Seiko in the Asia-Pacific region. The successful candidate will drive business performance by optimizing product assortment, managing inventory, and setting competitive pricing. A key focus will be the strategic expansion of the Grand Seiko e-commerce footprint beyond Singapore, creating a seamless online customer experience that aligns with the brand's luxury positioning.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Business Performance
- Support the BPM to execute the merchandise strategy for Grand Seiko watches to achieve sales and profitability targets.
- Forecast demand, plan optimal inventory levels, and manage stock controls to ensure product availability and minimize carrying costs.
- Adapt global sales objectives to create and implement regional and store-level performance goals, aligning all merchandising efforts accordingly.
- Conduct regular product pricing analysis and competitor benchmarking to ensure market competitiveness.
- Manage the entire SKU lifecycle, from introduction to end-of-life, and identify top-performing SKUs to maximize sales opportunities.
2. Assortment Planning & Inventory Management
- Develop and manage assortment plans for all channels, including boutiques, wholesale partners, and e-commerce, tailored to local market preferences.
- Oversee inventory management, including stock allocation, replenishment, and consolidation to optimize stock turn and availability.
- Work closely with the SCM and Operations team to ensure seamless execution of stock movements and logistics.
3. E-Commerce & Paid Media
- Support the BPM to lead the expansion of Grand Seiko's e-commerce presence across the Asia-Pacific region.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute integrated paid media ecommerce that drive traffic, conversion, and brand engagement.
- Strategically expand the online product offering and services to new markets beyond Singapore, ensuring a consistent and premium brand experience.
4. Support implementation of CRM system for MBS Boutique
- Support with the roll-out of a new CRM system for the MBS Boutique.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute CRM standards for Boutique Customers.
- Execute CRM campaigns with boutique.
- Monitor and develop reports to ensure usage of CRM system from Boutique staff.
5. Reporting and Analysis
- Generate and analyze regular reports on sales performance, inventory levels, and sell-through rates to provide actionable insights.
- Monitor and report on the performance of e-commerce campaigns and initiatives.
- Provide ad-hoc analysis as required by management to support strategic decision-making.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, or a related field with up to 4 years of relevant experience in merchandising, inventory management, and e-commerce, preferably within the luxury goods or watch industry.
- Possess both operational and analytics skillsets.
- Good written, verbal communication and presentation skills.
- Proficient in MS Office especially in Excel and PowerPoint, with experience with sales, inventory management and BI tools.
- Proficient in e-commerce implementation and working with vendors such as Shopify, WordPress, Stripe, Adyen, etc.
- Strong teamwork and experienced in working with and delivering to cross-functional partners regionally.
- Good communications and collaborative skills with our internal/external partners to resolve, handle shipping and all customs requirements.
- Highly organised, structured and meticulous.
- Result oriented professional with problem resolution and follow through skills.
- Willing to learn with positive attitude able to meet deadlines with self-initiative.
