About the role
As a Merchandiser, and part of the Merchandising Department, you will be working across all the retail networks and partner with the global HQ to support in all buying and merchandising activities for SEA and Australia.
Responsibilities
- Generate reports and deliver business analysis to provide clear visibility on category performance.
- Develop and execute action plans to drive business objectives and improve performance outcomes.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including VM, CRM, PR, Retail, and Store Operations to drive sales results.
- Provide relevant insights and data to retail teams to support optimal sales performance.
- Partner with in-store VM specialists to maximise visual merchandising opportunities, aligning local market needs with global guidelines.
- Conduct competitor analysis on pricing, product assortment, and market positioning.
- Work with the supply chain team to ensure optimal product availability across the region and maximise sell-through.
- Participate in seasonal buying sessions across categories, taking ownership of final buy execution, including reviews and revisions with the Paris team.
- Represent the SEAO market needs to Headquarters, ensuring clear and timely communication while aligning with seasonal buying guidelines.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience, preferably in merchandising or related functions.
- Strong business acumen with good negotiation skills.
- Customer-focused with the ability to build strong relationships and rapport.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work with urgency.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
- Highly meticulous with a structured and rigorous approach to work.
- Strong team player with a positive and collaborative attitude.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and general office/computer applications.
