The Merchandise Planning Manager is the global strategic lead for their assigned category, responsible for the commercial success and style direction of the collection. By managing the product lifecycle. you lead the brand's premiumization strategy. You oversee a highly responsive Push-Pull inventory model, leveraging strategic stock positioning and demand-led replenishment to minimize lead times, maximize global sales opportunities, and drive consistent Group GP$ Growth across all sales channels.

Responsibilities

Range Curation

  • Must-Have Seasonal Style: Define the Must-Have seasonal styles with clear Target Order Volumes and Sales Contribution benchmarks, ensuring these hero products drive the majority of the category's turnover.
  • Core Evolution: Use performance data to identify high-contribution styles to be reinvented into Core Repeat status for long-term momentum.

Pricing Strategy Framework

  • Market-Based Pricing: Establish global pricing hierarchies based on market demand and competitor benchmarking while maintaining strict Target Margin Benchmarks.

Lifecycle Management

  • End-to-End Ownership: Direct the full lifespan of every SKU, from initial creative concept and material selection to seasonal markdowns and final exit strategies.
  • Global Inventory Re-balancing: Drive Exit Inventory Productivity by orchestrating the global movement of stocks, re-routing slow-moving inventory from underperforming regions to high-demand markets to maximize full-price sell-through globally.

Responsive Supply Chain & Agile Inventory Model

  • Strategic Inventory Buffering (Push): Oversee a high-responsiveness inventory model based on strategic forecasts, ensuring the brand is positioned to bypass traditional production lead times.
  • Demand-Driven Replenishment (Pull): Architect a robust Pull-based replenishment system where global stock movement is triggered by real-time sales demand, ensuring inventory is only deployed to markets with proven velocity to maximize ROS per SKU.
  • Demand-Led Replenishment: Manage the flow of inventory across the global network based on real-time performance data, ensuring stock fluidity and optimal global stock turn.

Requirements

  • Advanced sales data analysis for accurate demand forecasting
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Retail Merchandising or related field
  • 8+ years of relevant experience
  • Proficient in Office 365 tools, especially excel and Power BI
