THE ROLE
Responsible for preparing all cost estimates, quantities, and project timelines, analyzing existing budgets and making improvements, reviewing plans and preparing quantity estimates, negotiating with various contractors and vendors.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Cost Planning and Estimation
- Prepare cost estimates, budgets and feasibility studies for MEP works
- Analyze design drawings, specifications and tender documents to quantify MEP materials and systems
- Provide value engineering options to achieve cost savings without compromising quality
Tendering and Procurement
- Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQ), tender schedules and pricing documents for MEP trades
- Evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations, ensuring compliance with project specifications
Contract Administration
- Manage contracted correspondence, variations and change orders
- Ensure compliance with contract conditions, cost limits and project timelines
REQUIREMENTS
- Diploma/Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or Construction Management.
- Minimum 5 years of working experience in quantity surveyor role
- Excellent in numeric skill and proficient in AutoCad and Revit MEP
- Detail-oriented, organized and capable of working under tight timelines
- Strong in negotiation
