The Membership Consultant is the first point of contact for prospective and existing members. This role is responsible for delivering a warm, professional, and informative experience that converts enquiries into memberships and builds long-term relationships.
You will play a key role in sales, onboarding, and retention, while contributing to the overall energy and community of the studio. This position suits someone who is people-focused, confident, and enjoys helping others take the first step in their fitness journey.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Member Onboarding
- Act as the primary point of contact for enquiries via walk-ins, email, phone, and social channels
- Conduct studio tours and clearly explain the studio's training concept and membership options
- Convert trials, intro offers, and enquiries into active memberships
- Guide new members through onboarding, booking systems, and studio policies
- Take charge of branch sales and retention performance
Member Experience & Relationship Building
- Maintain a welcoming, professional front-of-house presence
- Build strong relationships with members through regular follow-up and engagement
- Handle member questions, concerns, and feedback in a calm and solutions-oriented manner
- Engage with the local community through social gatherings, workshops, and member appreciation events to strengthen relationships
- Contribute ideas and collect feedback to improve the overall client experience and studio atmosphere
Administrative & Reporting Support
- Manage studio operations, including scheduling, check-ins and a clean and organized environment
- Manage bookings, payments, membership changes, and account enquiries
- Track leads, follow-ups, and conversions accurately in the studio system
Support basic sales and membership reporting - Assist the Studio Manager with operational and administrative tasks as required
Qualification and Experience:
- Experience in sales, customer service, hospitality, or boutique fitness preferred
- Previous experience in a fitness or wellness environment is an advantage
- Comfortable discussing pricing, packages, and fitness services with confidence
- Consultative, relationship-based sales experience preferred
