He / she directly addresses the needs of all members and guests and ensures an exceptional experience. He / she treats members and guests with respect and handles online bookings or walk-in requests, registration procedures, and member/guest complaints with professionalism to promote a positive first impression. He / she should have a working knowledge of the integrated management system (IMS) to aid in the various job functions. He / she must be knowledgeable to present accurate and timely information and alternatives to meet members and guests requests and needs. Good communication, interpersonal skills, active listening, and showing empathy are essential in order to excel in this job role.
Responsibilities
- Book golf sessions according to the Club's policy and guidelines to ensure compliance and member satisfaction
- Verify members handicaps accurately to maintain fair play standards
- Inform club members of tee-off times for major tournaments to facilitate smooth event operations
- Provide administrative support by faxing departmental documents, taking messages, billing green and buggy fees, preparing Private Competition invoices, and preparing scorecards to support golf operations
- Announce tee-off times and general announcements clearly to keep members informed
- Coordinate tee-off times with the starter to ensure timely game starts
- File reciprocal and complimentary documents for committee members, golf billing chits, SPGA, and membership documents to maintain organized records
- Respond to general enquiries about golf booking fees, membership fees, and Club outlet operating hours to assist members and guests
- Prepare membership cards accurately for new and existing members
- Plan and coordinate golf events and major competitions, assisting in executing the schedule of play to deliver successful events
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Head of Department to support Club operations
- Use Microsoft Office to complete administrative and communication tasks efficiently
- Communicate clearly and empathetically to understand and meet members requirements and needs
- Cooperate and build rapport with team members to foster a collaborative work environment
- Apply knowledge of the Club's Rules and Regulations to ensure compliance and proper conduct
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Knowledge of golf handicapping to support accurate member information management
- Basic computing and operation skills training will be provided
- Understanding of different competition formats and computer scoring skills training will be provided
