Medical Technologist

Job Description

• Perform routine instrument maintenance and troubleshooting;
• Expected to develop knowledge of local and international regulations regarding clinical trials;
• Expected to develop knowledge of pre-analytical variables affecting clinical laboratory testing;
• Expected to develop knowledge of disease processes and correlation with clinical laboratory data;
• Perform laboratory investigations;
• Perform clinical specimen testing, documentation, and routine lab system operations; and
• Ensure validity of laboratory data reported.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree with at least 2 years of hands-on experience in Biochemistry, Haematology, and/or Immunology;
• Basic knowledge of drug therapy techniques and medical terminology;
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
• Able to work in a team environment with effective interpersonal skills and able to work independently; and
• Able to work on rotational public holidays and weekends.
