Job Description
- Oversee medical policies and ensure they align with industry standards.
- Work with teams to develop healthcare strategies and solutions.
- Ensure compliance with regulations in the insurance industry.
- Review and approve medical claims and related documentation.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to improve healthcare services.
- Provide medical insights to support business decisions.
- Keep updated with industry trends and best practices.
- Contribute to the development of training programs for the team.
The Successful Applicant
- MBBS with MD/DNB (or equivalent postgraduate qualification) and active medical registration in India, with 10+ years of clinical experience including 5+ years in digital health, payer-side clinical leadership, hospital quality and medical administration, or health-tech at scale.
- Demonstrated ownership of clinical governance systems - protocols, clinical audits, credentialing, and adverse-event review processes - not just participation in them.
- Working fluency with clinical AI and decision-support systems: the ability to interrogate a model's clinical validity, define safe operating boundaries for automated care, and say no when the evidence is thin.
- Practical command of India's digital health regulatory landscape - Telemedicine Practice Guidelines 2020, DPDP Act 2023, and ABDM/ABHA - and experience serving as the named clinical authority in client or regulatory audits.
- Experience building and managing distributed clinician networks: empanelment standards, clinical performance management, and structured quality improvement across telehealth or multi-site care delivery.
- Exposure to clinical research methodology - study design, validation of predictive models, or population-health analysis - with the rigor to ensure every external clinical claim the company makes is defensible.
- A builder's mindset: experience with AI in healthcare, and the appetite to write the first version of every protocol, hire the clinical team, and shape clinical governance into a durable competitive advantage rather than a compliance checkbox.
