About our group:

The Media Yield and Process Monitoring team is part of a high‑impact Advanced Manufacturing Engineering organization based in Woodlands, Singapore. The team focuses on driving media yield improvement and process excellence through data, analytics, and AI‑driven solutions.

Our work sits at the intersection of real‑time manufacturing data systems, large‑scale analytics, and AI and machine learning applications for defect prediction and process optimization across high‑volume production lines.

By transforming complex manufacturing data into actionable insights, the team directly supports factory performance, yield recovery, and continuous process improvement. Interns in this group gain exposure to real production challenges and work closely with experienced engineers and data scientists on problems that matter.

As a Media Yield and Process Monitoring Intern, you will play an active role in transforming how manufacturing data is monitored, analyzed, and acted upon across production lines. Through this role, your work can directly influence process decisions, yield recovery, and overall factory performance.

  • Analyze media yield trends and Key Process Output Variable (KPOV) fallout signals across manufacturing processes
  • Monitor large‑scale production datasets to detect anomalies and emerging issues early
  • Develop and enhance data monitoring dashboards and trigger logic using tools such as Tableau, SQL, and Python
  • Apply data analytics and AI or machine learning techniques to improve issue detection efficiency
  • Identify gaps in existing monitoring systems and propose smarter, more automated solutions
  • Collaborate with process owners and engineers to validate findings, drive issue resolution, and close monitoring or trigger gaps
    • Support end‑to‑end problem solving, from data analysis to actionable recommendations

About you:

We're looking for someone who is:

  • Analytical, with the ability to translate data into clear, actionable insights
  • Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, dynamic manufacturing environment
  • A strong communicator who can collaborate with cross‑functional engineering teams
  • Self‑driven, curious, and eager to solve real‑world problems using data and technology

Your experience includes:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Data Science, Computer Science or Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Materials, Industrial, or similar)
  • Strong interest in data analytics, AI, or smart manufacturing
  • Familiarity with Python ,SQL
  • Data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI

Location:

Our Woodlands site is one of the largest electronics manufacturing sites in Singapore, housing our recording media operations. Spread over three sites, it is easily accessible via bus or from the MRT Station, with many employees taking mass transportation to work.
