Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced mechanical technician to join our Singapore team. You will assemble and test mechanical systems, troubleshoot issues, repair faulty components, and provide hands-on support and training to customers and partners. This role combines workshop work, field service, and customer interaction.
Location: Near Ubi MRT
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble and adjust mechanical components according to drawings and instructions using precision tools.
- Set up and operate test benches, conduct functional and dynamic tests, and record results accurately.
- Diagnose and repair faulty products or returned systems, including component replacement and corrective actions.
- Perform inspections and quality checks to ensure compliance with company standards.
- Maintain accurate records in ERP systems for product tracking and repair documentation.
- Provide technical support, service, and training to customers, suppliers, and subsidiaries.
- Assist with creating and updating technical documentation, such as Bills of Materials and work instructions.
- Report issues and suggest improvements to managers in line with company processes.
Requirements
- Diploma, or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Electro-Mechanical Engineering.
- Preferably 5 years of hands-on experience in mechanical assembly and testing of motion systems.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings.
- Hands-on experience with mechanical components like linear/rotary guides, bearings, and encoders.
- Experience in functional testing of motion systems, including test bench setup, performance evaluation, and troubleshooting.
- Proficient in MS Office and familiar with ERP systems.
