The Mechanical Technician supports site and operations teams by carrying out hands-on technical work related to construction machinery, vehicles, and mechanical systems.
Key responsibilities include:
Operate, inspect, and maintain construction machinery, vehicles, and mechanical equipment
Perform routine servicing, preventive maintenance, and basic mechanical repairs
Assist in troubleshooting mechanical faults under supervision of senior technical staff
Support site operations by ensuring equipment readiness and safe operation
Carry out equipment checks in accordance with safety and operational procedures
Maintain maintenance records, checklists, and basic technical documentation
Comply with workplace safety, health, and regulatory requirements
Perform other technical duties related to machinery and equipment operations as assigned
Technical or vocational qualification in:
Mechanical technology
Automotive or vehicle technology
Construction equipment or machinery operations
Engineering machinery maintenance
Relevant hands-on experience with machinery, vehicles, or construction equipment preferred
Basic understanding of mechanical systems and maintenance procedures
Willingness to perform physical and site-based work
Ability to follow technical instructions and safety protocols
