Mechanical Supervisor
Job Summary
Join as a Mechanical Supervisor to lead mechanical maintenance at an Energy Infrastructure site, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient asset operations in collaboration with Operations and Project teams.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement mechanical maintenance plans and schedules aligned with site standards and regulatory requirements
- Oversee troubleshooting, repair, commissioning, and replacement of mechanical equipment such as compressors, cryogenic pumps, storage tanks, and pressure vessels
- Supervise contractors and vendors to ensure safe and effective completion of maintenance work
- Analyze equipment performance data to recommend reliability and lifespan improvements
- Prepare and maintain Preventive Maintenance checklists, Method Statements, and Risk Assessments
- Monitor maintenance KPIs and provide coaching and guidance to technicians to improve performance
- Plan and allocate manpower resources for maintenance activities efficiently
- Support spare parts and inventory management through stock checks and procurement coordination
- Prepare scopes of work, raise Purchase Requisitions, and assist in vendor evaluation processes
- Assist in budget planning and monitor maintenance costs to optimize expenditures
- Participate actively in emergency response procedures as required
Required competencies and certifications
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 8 years of mechanical maintenance experience with supervisory responsibilities
- Strong knowledge of maintenance practices for static and rotating equipment
- Hands-on experience with compressors, pumps, piping systems, and valves
- Familiarity with industry codes, standards, and regulatory requirements
- Physically fit to perform emergency response duties
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Experience in oil & gas, petrochemical, or related industrial environments
- Certifications in API standards, vibration analysis, or related diagnostic techniques
