Job Description

  • Supervise daily mechanical site activities, including equipment installation, alignments, and pre-commissioning
  • Lead and supervise a team of fitters, welders, and mechanical workers daily
  • Plan and allocate daily manpower, tools, and materials to meet project targets
  • Ensure all works comply with approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards
  • Plan and execute preventive and corrective maintenance on rotating and stationary equipment
  • Direct and train technicians, assign daily tasks, and coordinate with external contractors or vendors
  • Carry out troubleshooting and rectification of mechanical faults/breakdowns on site
  • Oversee installation, alignment, testing & commissioning of pumps, motors, gearboxes, piping, HVAC, generators, and mechanical equipment
  • Enforce health, safety, and environmental protocols, ensuring safety permits are in place and hazards are mitigated
  • Ensure proper use of PPE and safe work practices at all times
  • Diagnose mechanical failures, verify compliance with quality standards, and assist engineers with design modifications
  • Liaise with Engineers, Clients, Subcontractors, and other trades on site coordination
  • Monitor work progress vs schedule and report to Project Manager daily
