As a Senior Engineer in MHS Engineering Organization, this position will lead the concept development, design, and validation of advanced material handling systems (MHS). This includes cross-functional collaboration, technical leadership, and innovation in high-precision electromechanical systems, with a focus on cost-effective and manufacturable solutions.
Overview:
MHS Senior/Staff Engineers are responsible for development of efficient, automatic handling systems for customer's lead frames, substrates, other type of carriers and magazines of different shapes and dimensions, which allow:
- Operators or robotic systems to load and unload magazines/cassettes into/from bonders.
- Substrates and carriers to be injected into work holder at appropriate time to heat them as needed by bonding process.
- To clamp the material with right amount of force and in accurate position for bonding and to eject the material safely without any damage.
Responsibilities:
- Define system and subsystem requirements and features for new material handling solutions.
- Design and develop new MHS systems and enhance existing designs using CAD and analytical tools (NX preferred).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners to deliver solutions aligned with cost and performance targets.
- Lead and coordinate engineering activities to meet program milestones and deliverables.
- Establish success criteria and develop validation and qualification plans for systems and subsystems.
- Execute validation and qualification tests; analyze and interpret test data to ensure system integrity.
- Analyze existing systems to support interface development and seamless integration.
- Work with subject matter experts to troubleshoot issues and propose effective solutions.
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in CAD modeling; experience with Siemens NX is a plus.
- Strong understanding of design-for-cost and design-for-manufacturing principles.
- Solid grasp of multidisciplinary system interactions and integration.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Broad experience in product development, ideally within semiconductor equipment or material handling domains.
- Experience working in multi-site engineering environments.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field with minimum 8 years of relevant experience
