Role Overview
We are looking for a hands-on and committed Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join our water infrastructure operationsteam. You will be responsible for the scheduled servicing and preventive maintenance of mechanical plant and equipment across Singapore's water supply networks and reservoir facilities - keeping critical water infrastructure running reliably and safely.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out routine and preventive maintenance on mechanical equipment at water supply plants, pumping stations, and reservoir sites across multiple locations
- Perform scheduled inspection, servicing, and condition monitoring of pumps, motors, valves, pipe systems, and associated mechanical components
- Diagnose mechanical faults, carry out first-line troubleshooting, and escalate complex issues as required
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs, service records, and inspection reports
- Ensure all work is conducted in compliance with WSH regulations and safe work procedures
- Coordinate with supervisors and site teams to plan and execute maintenance activities with minimal disruption to operations
- Support breakdown response and corrective maintenance when required during working hours
Requirements
- Higher NITEC in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical qualification
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience as a Maintenance Technician, preferably in utilities, water treatment, or heavy industrial environments
- Solid knowledge of mechanical systems - pumps, motors, valves, piping, and rotating equipment
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, P&IDs, and maintenance manuals
- Good understanding of WSH Act requirements and safe work practices on-site
- Own transport and able to travel between multiple sites. (travel across multiple sites required)
- Team player with a proactive attitude and strong sense of responsibility
