Our client is a marine and offshore industry . Due to business needs, they are now recruiting a Mechanical Enginee to be part of their Team for ongoing transformation projects. They are located in the West - easily accessible.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct market and user research to identify customer needs, industry trends, and product requirements.
- Develop design concepts, 3D models, and prototypes using CAD and SolidWorks.
- Create detailed mechanical designs, including engineering drawings, models, specifications, and technical documentation.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure designs meet technical, functional, quality, and performance requirements.
- Evaluate and select suitable materials, components, and manufacturing processes based on product requirements, cost, and manufacturability.
- Support prototype fabrication, assembly, and testing to validate design concepts and product functionality.
- Analyse test results, identify design issues, and implement improvements to enhance product performance and reliability.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including industrial designers, electrical engineers, manufacturing teams, and other stakeholders, throughout the product development lifecycle.
Requirements:
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, Product Design, or a related discipline.
- Experience in mechanical or product design is bonus
- Proficient in CAD software, SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
